Safety and mobility for all
To introduce one of the world’s biggest road safety initiatives into primary schools all over Poland
Utilising children’s creativity in the process of popularising safety rules. Apart from learning how to use public roads safely, children were to understand the idea of sustainable mobility to protect the environment.
The programme consisted of a few main elements, such as: educational packs The Road and I, an international art competition, which was later replaced with another competition Your Idea - Your Initiative, an e-learning platform, and active community of School Safety Club. All these individual initiatives formed a communication system aiming at increasing road safety awareness among children.
Over one million students from five thousands primary schools all over Poland increased their road safety awareness during 14 years of running the programme. Renault funded 30,000 educational packs, and children submitted 15,000 and 195 projects in various editions of competitions. The project was recognised as the best CSR campaign in Europe.
